Phase One At Symmetry Park Swindon Completes

There are few more active logistics developers in the market at the moment than our client db symmetry. This week the team announced the completion of a new 221,320 sq ft speculatively developed logistics facility at Symmetry Park, Swindon.

Symmetry Park Swindon

Strategically located on to the A420, two miles south of Honda and four miles north of Junction 15 of the M4, this unit is the first to be developed at the 96-acre site. The Park currently benefits from outline planning consent for 1.3 million sq ft of B8 use space with design and build opportunities available.

Readie Construction completed the building and on-site infrastructure including estate roads on behalf of db symmetry.

db symmetry is currently developing over 1.2 million sq ft of speculative logistics space across sites including Swindon, Middlewich, Doncaster, Bicester and Banbury.

Speaking about the progress on site, Christian Matthews, director at db symmetry said: “This is a significant milestone in bringing forward the Park at Swindon into which we have invested significantly over the last few years. We have a number of interested parties in both the speculative building and the wider built to suit opportunities on the scheme, all of which are now able to see first-hand the excellent specification and quality of our product.”

Tom Watkins, senior surveyor at Colliers, joint agents for the scheme with Savills and Whitmarsh Lockhart, added: “It is encouraging to see developers commit to speculative development of the highest quality. Its prime location will undoubtedly appeal to the automotive sector locally as well as a wide range of other businesses. With further design and build opportunities available in sizes ranging from 200,000 sq ft up to 1,000,000 sq ft, Symmetry Park, Swindon will quickly become a ‘go to’ logistics hub.”

Quoting rental is £6.95 per sq ft.
