LATEST CENTRAL M40 PHASE REACHES COMPLETION

Updated: Jul 24, 2020

British Airways Pension Fund and logistics developer db symmetry have announced the completion of two speculative buildings at Central M40 in Banbury.

The completion of unit 7 measuring 95,000 sq ft and unit 8 offering 78,000 sq ft follows on from the first phase of development which saw a newly built 235,000 sq ft logistics and distribution facility let to Hellofresh and a new bespoke 114,000 sq ft headquarters developed for Prodrive Motorsport.

Located by junction 11, Central M40 comprises a total of 70 acres and has detailed planning for a total of 1million sq ft industrial / warehouse accommodation. CBRE, Burbage Realty and Colliers are joint agents for the scheme.

On reaching completion, Harry Sadleir, development director at db symmetry, commented: “Central M40’s location alongside the M40 corridor provides national operators with a highly prominent site and access to the wider motorway network. The occupiers, which have already chosen to make Central M40 their home, are of a very high calibre and with interest in both these newly completed units and the design and build opportunities we are now looking at bringing forward further phases for development.”

Further design and build opportunities are available from 100,000 sq ft – 525,000 sq ft (9,290 – 48,774 sq m).
